Noah x Jess 2025

After a succesful mating in March, we are extremely excited to announce are upcoming litter between our homebred girl Jess, and our Norwegian powerhouse Noah, with pups anticipated (subject to confirmed pregnancy) in June 2025.

Dam of the litter, Jess, was born from the first Fenrirkin Greenland litter between our own Dylan & Alice, and her impact on the breed - here in the UK and further afield – has been quite special, not least from a conformation / showing perspective where she has had great success. More details of this can be read about on her own pages, however she can proudly boast a number of breed firsts here in the UK, including being the first female Greenland dog to win an Open Show group, the first Greenland to win more than one Open Show group, the first Greenland to win an all breed Open Show Reserve Best In Show, the first Greenland to win an Open Show Puppy Group, the first female / UK bred Greenland to place in a Championship Show Puppy Group and the first Greenland Dog to gain her Show Certificate of Excellence title (the only non-age related UK title recognised by the RKC for this breed).

She has been consistent competing at the highest level, with over 30x Best Female / 15x Best of Breeds at UK Championship Shows, including 2 Crufts Best of Breeds & 1 Best Opposite Sex from the 3 times she has competed on the Green carpet. Alongside four FCI Champion titles she has a number of Winner awards, including being a 2x World Winner (Spain 2022 & Switzerland 2023) and the European Winner in Denmark 2023 which, as the only UK bred dog competing from a double figure entry of beautiful Scandinavian dogs, was very special to us!

Her strength however is not just in her show accolades. Running in harness she has never let us down, combining strength & determination and not caring whether she is positioned, as long as she gets to run! While I do not extensively compete she has over the last few years had the opportunity to run with a variety of different team mates and the results from these events have actually given her the boast of being unbeaten in freight classes at UK races.

She has never been competitive in weightpull despite showing good natural form, having been put off by a scare in the chute early in her career, however her immediate family more than compensate for here here, with litter sister Elska a previous record holder pipped only to the post by their Mum Alice who is the current UK Breed Record holder for both percentage of bodyweight pulled (over 30x) and highest weight pulled by a female (1600lb), along with her father Dylan still holding the breed record for highest percentage of bodyweight pulled by a male (20.25x).

Her temperament is delightful, albeit very loud and sometimes a bit demanding, being one of the most affectionate dogs in our kennel and always looking for an opportunity to flop on her back for cuddles. She has been a breed representative at multiple Breed Appreciation Days / Crufts Discover Dogs stints where she has been happy to share her Greenland charm with a willing public.

Sire of the litter, Noah, also has plenty to shout about in the show ring despite losing almost 2 years of competition due to the CV-19 pandemic. Like Jess, he has made his mark in the UK show scene with a number of breed firsts, including being the first Greenland Dog to place in a UK Championship Show puppy group and the first male Show Certificate of Excellence title holder, as well as gaining a UK Championship Shortlist in 2024 – not a breed first but the first Greenland Dog to achieve this in nearly a decade! Alongside a multitude of UK / FCI Champ Show Best of Breeds he has two Crufts Best of Breeds and 2 Best Opposite Sex wins alongside claiming the World Winner (Spain) & European Winner (France) titles in 2022.

His temperament is second to none, happy to have his lead handed to anybody willing to take on the challenge of his enthusiasm for life and high energy levels. He is one of the most non-confrontational dogs in our kennel, regularly run in teams with other entire males without any concerns and never one to start a fence fight at home, preferring to turn a blind eye even when challenged by dogs out and about.

Like Jess, his sound temperament has given him the chance to be a Discover Dogs breed representative on multiple occasions (although keeping him still long enough can sometimes be a challenge)!

As his larger size would imply, Noah is one of the strongest dogs in our kennel, and is a super motivated dog to work in harness (although more often than not confined to wheel due to a tendency to ignore directions)! His strength has really shone through in weightpull, where he is the current breed record holder for both highest weight pulled by a Greenland Dog (2200lb)!

With both Noah & Jess being strong, typey dogs we are optimistic for what they can produce, hoping their positive attributes will compliment well in both character and construction. They both score well for good balance in angulation, plenty of substance befitting a freighting sled dog and demonstrating ground covering movement that is frequently cited in their critiques. Their sound temperament and working drive means we hope to produce good all round dogs, and while both are larger examples of their genders there is a natural size range within their immediate family (littermates, aunts / uncles etc) so expect this may be the case within this litter also.

The pedigree offers a slight linebreed deriving from Noah’s Mum (Suki) and Jess’s Grandmother (Pocahontas) who both ran lead in Marit’s team at a number of prestigious races, including placing at the Polardistans & Finnmarksløpet, so we are excited that this pairing will share some of the same working drive and strength seen from this highly accoladed and influential litter.

As a member of the Greenland Dog Club of GB,  this breeding will abide by their Code of Ethics and fall in line with the UK RKC regulations, and we take pride in both Noah & Jess being hip-scored well below the BVA breed average (equivalent to an FCI A Grade / OFA Excellent) and are in possession of clear BVA eye checks.

All puppies will be Kennel Club Registered with endorsements (export pedigrees to be made available for those registered outside the UK).

Puppies will be wormed, vaccinated, microchipped and weaned on both raw food and dry food.

Puppy buyers will be expected to sign a contract ensuring the puppy is returned to the breeder in the event they are no longer able to keep them but in return will receive lifetime support from ourselves.

We welcome anybody interested in learning more about the breed or this pairing to get in contact with us for a chat.
