10/03/2023 | Crufts Championship Show | Kath Howarth (Hawkam) | Open Bitch | 1st, Best Bitch & Best Of Breed | CRITIQUE: "I considered this Crufts appointment a great honour on the Kennel Club’s 150th anniversary especially when asked to judge breeds I have always admired. I would like to thank all exhibitors for their entries and attendance especially with the bad weather on the day. A numerically small breed, the quality, temperament, presentation, and handling of exhibits, was excellent, and always a joy to see with Greenland dogs.... OB (4) A class of quality girls who made my decisions difficult on the day. 1. This young red girl has a great future ahead of her. Though not yet fully mature she has lots of character and made her presence felt in the ring, she left her coat at home, but it did not detract from her quality. Typical feminine head maturing nicely, ears well set. Thick muscular neck, broad shoulders moderately laid back. Forelegs straight and well boned, pasterns strong, large feet. Body of good substance, hindquarters muscled, with well let down hocks and adequate angulation. Balanced on the move she kept her topline level, moving soundly with powerful reach and drive. (Best Bitch) and well deserving of Best of Breed." |

Open | 1st, Best of Breed & Working Group 3 | BREED CRITIQUE:
"So much to love about this striking red and white girl. Fabulous, well-proportioned head. Wide set ears, carried well but ideally might be slightly smaller. Appealing tawny eyes, obliquely set, with a fearless but good-natured expression. Strong jaw with correct scissor bite. Short, muscular neck. Broad shoulders and well sprung ribs. Well balanced front and rear construction with heavy bone and good muscle throughout, giving the overall impression of strength essential to do her job in harsh conditions. Fabulous on the move, leaving no room to doubt the powerful drive propelling this deceptively compact girl. Hats off to her handler for keeping up with her! At only 2 years old this already impressive youngster will no doubt get even better as she matures. A fine ambassador for this special breed and absolutely one to watch. BOB." GROUP CRITIQUE: "2 year old bitch, feminine head and expression, excellent temperament, clean front with good bone and feet, liked her body proportions, she was balanced and free on the move and presented in excellent, fit condition." |

Not in full coat and still not fully mature but winning this class with some room to spare. Feminine all through, she pleased for type and presents a well-balanced outline with good length of neck, firm level topline, deep brisket, ribbed well back, good underline and tail good for both set and carriage. Most attractive head with slight arch to skull, moderate stop, medium length muzzle, eyes set slightly obliquely, ears set on well apart and correct dentition. Soundly constructed girl, elbows fit closely to the side, standing nice and straight in front on good feet and firm, muscular hindquarters with good turn of stifle. Covering the ground when gaiting and so very well handled. Best Bitch."
29/08/2022 | Leicester City CS Open Show | Jenny Shorer-Wheeler (Koromandel) | AVNSC W Open | 1st & Best AVNSC | CRITIQUE: "R/W Greenland, no chance of this bitch being late for anything with a sidegait that could swallow counties. Another of the 'rare' sled dog breeds who is well worth studying by those who want to understand the differences between them. Powerfully made all through, with no need for coat to make up the difference, which was for the best as she didn't have much to spare! But you could happily watch her move for days."

13/08/2022 | Sedgefield AS Open Show | Racheal Bailey (Akna) | Open | 2nd | CRITIQUE: "
My first appointment judging these and one i was really looking forward to. A really lovely entry from such a minority breed. Some quality attributes from all the dogs and ALL had wonderful temperaments. Having spent a lot of time in the ring with them it was great to finally get my hands on them... 20 month red and white female. Totally naked but hiding nothing. Litter sibling to graduate winner but yet so different. This girl has more substance and size but not too heavy. Her front construction is correct and her rear has enough angulation to give a really balanced side profile. Her movement is superb and ground covering. She is quite strong in head but still feminine. As 1 would prefer a better eye shape. " |
|
05/08/2022 | Paignton Championship Show | Tan Nagrecha (Chandlimore) | Open | 2nd, Best Bitch & Best Opposite Sex | CRITIQUE: "My heart break for today, she is a beautiful bitch who displays type balance and movement, her head is breed typical with such an excellent conformation which gives her that foot accurate movement, sadly she was thread bare to the point that it would not have been sensible to put her in the group to represent the breed. I did love her though. BB"
31/07/2022 | Llandysul & District CS Open Show | Graham Hill (Dimland) | Open | 2nd & Reserve Best of Breed | CRITIQUE: "A shapely bitch who is attractive in head and expression. Lacked coat but enabled to view her outline, balance and proportions. Not as precise on the move as 1st." |

Excellent wedge head and eye with small ears set apart, strong neck and straight forelegs, well sprung ribs and strong topline to high set tail, well bent stifles and strong hocks. She appeared to have the wind up her tail today and gave her handler a hard time on the move but they persevered enough for me to be able to assess her soundness and drive."

Could go on about individual points but for me what I have just said sums her up. Loved her. Happy to award RBOB."

17/09/2021 | Darlington Championship Show | Martin Esders (Roxiga) | Post Graduate | 1st, Best Puppy & Reserve Best Bitch | CRITIQUE: "I believe my entry of Greenland dogs topped the rare breeds table today, thank you to all the exhibitors, some good handling certainly shone through today showing the breed to a very high standard. I based my awards on type, soundness and movement, temperament was never questioned and enthusiasm was excellent, well done and thank you again to all handlers, their dogs and the good sportsmanship around the ringside... 9 month old bitch, out of coat but her red markings certainly caught the eye, feminine in outline with typical head, tapering muzzle, good skull proportions, correct scissor bite, nice neckline, strong front quarters and good rear angulation, she moved with ease around the ring and was at one with handler, stood alone but still deserved the class and Reserve Best Bitch"
15/09/2021 | Thames & Oxfordshire CS Open Show | Avril Roper (Tokosha) | AVNSC W Puppy | 1st, Best Puppy & WPG2 | CRITIQUE: "A delightful feminine bitch. 10/09/2021 | Richmond Championship Show | Simon Parsons (Deavitte) | AVNSC W Puppy Bitch | 1st | CRITIQUE: "Most attractive 9 months Greenland with plenty of scope for the future, feminine head, sensible length of neck, true front with excellent feet, balanced unexaggerated angulation, what coat she had was of the correct texture - must be frustrating for the owners of the Arctic breeds that they are most likely to be in coat at the time when there aren’t so many shows! Free active mover with good tail carriage. Although obviously far less mature she was by no means outclassed by the Bouvier when challenging for BP".
30/08/2021 | Great Yarmouth Gorleston & DCA | Cath Moffat (Kyleca) | AVNSC W Puppy | 2nd | CRITIQUE: "8 month old... appealing head with alert expression. Nicely angulated all through with good bone and sound feet. Moved well once settled." |

AVNSC W Puppy Bitch | 1st, Best Puppy & Reserve Best Bitch & WORKING PUPPY GROUP 4 | Group Critique: "Finally my choice for Puppy Group 4 was the Greenland Dog, Blaney’s Fenrirkin Can’t Be Late. What a character this 8 mth old bitch is and giving her handler a hard time such is her love of life! A pleasure to judge with everything in the right place, she presents a super outline with muscular neck, firm topline, nice depth of chest, ribcage carried well back and rib developing well for age, firm loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Feminine headpiece with flat skull, moderate stop, obliquely set expressive eyes, muzzle of moderate length and correct scissor bite. First class construction and when settled she moves like a dream, covering the ground with excellent drive from the rear." |

20/06/2021 | Southampton CS Open Show | Krystyan Greenland (Rajarani) | AVNSC Working Puppy | 1st, 1st Special Yearling, Best AVNSC, Best Puppy, Best SY, WPG1 & WG3 | CRITIQUE: "AVNSC Working Puppy Super class. 1st: ... A top class young sled dog. Has everything I look for in a quality Greenland of this age. Head displays a good wedge and is already of good width. Skull flat. Muzzle medium in length. Eyes set slightly obliquely giving a very gorgeous expression. Ears short and firm as required. Neck not too long. Excellent construction with beautiful angles all through. Firm topline and strong couplings. Tail set high with a loose curl over the back and to the side – so important to not have a snap tail. Bone developing well and she already has large feet. In gorgeous condition. One of the soundest sled dogs I have had the pleasure to judge. Super reach and drive. Wonderful outline. She must have a great career ahead. Best AVNSC. Best AVNSC Puppy Working Group This was one of the strongest working groups I have judged in a long time! Credit to breeders/owners and judges. I pulled out the Alaskan Malamute, Canadian Eskimo Dog, Greenland Dog, Dobermann, Bernese and Newfoundland.... WG3... Critique as above. I’ve seen several very good Greenland’s over the years, but this one, even at her young age, rates amongst the very best. Working Puppy Group WPG1: .... Critique as above. I’m told this result made breed history. Thoroughly deserved and I shall follow her career with great interest." |
